After graduating in Fashion Design and Technology from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2014, Esme wanted to take her love of colourful, vibrate designs and start a small business. Initially, this started with attending market and festival events across Sheffield selling the classic Baby purse.

As interest grew and seeing lots of happy customers, Esme started attending more markets across Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cheshire and expanding the range of EsmeAndTheEye products. Esme likes to express her individuality and style into each piece. Each item is uniquely different and you will never find two the same.

In 2018, Esme won the award for best fashion business at the Lovin Manchester awards at Beetham Tower.
